Where's the Beef? Red Oak FFA!

(Red Oak)--The Red Oak FFA members are busy once again under the guidance of Alan Spencer, looking forward to many informative and fun activities in December.
Senior Jonathan Sands (left in photo) and sophomore Kylie Pendleton (right in photo) are geared up, along with their fellow Red Oak FFA members, for the Beef Scholarship Extravaganza Friday, December 14th in Ames. More than $7600 in scholarships will be awarded in the competition to the teams finishing in the first four places. Categories will include cattle handling and health, nutrition, marketing, seedstock merchandising, heifers, beef management challenge, credit and finance, beef industry issues and more.
Jonathan and Kylie also remind us the Stine Seed Sales Fundraiser continues, as Stine Seed Company has donated thousands of bags of seed corn to the Iowa FFA Foundation for FFA chapters to sell locally. 100% of the sale of the seed corn will be donated directly to the FFA. All orders received before December 1st will get a 10% discount.
