(Red Oak)--The stepping stones of Margee Swanson's education and career path have fit together perfectly to bring her to her present position as Montgomery County Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator.
Swanson, the daughter of Tom and Linda Langemeier, and her husband, Kent, live in the Stanton area where Kent farms with his brothers at 4K Farms. Margee and Kent have three children: Dana, Dylan and Lucas.
A Creston graduate, Margee went on to study elementary education at Iowa Western Community College and Buena Vista University. Along with being a stay-at-home mom, Margee has also worked with young people at the Clarinda Academy and has enjoyed time spent on the Montgomery County Extension Board. It was there she learned the youth coordinator position was open and she thought it would be a good fit for her.
Margee is in charge of all the 4H youth programs and activities in Montgomery County, she is in direct communication with the 4H leaders and 4Hers and she enjoys being involved in helping to set up and take part in the many 4H summer camp opportunities as well.
