The U.S. tariffs on China, originally scheduled for September, have been delayed by President Trump’s administration, Allendale said. They will begin on Dec. 15 now, after a “productive phone conversation,” Allendale said, with the promise of more talks in the next few weeks.

CHS Hedging’s Bryant Sanderson warned of a possible sign of recession coming, as the 10-year Treasury note dropped below the 2-year rate. “In 7 out of 9 years, a recession followed this inversion,” he said, noting it took about 22 months on average for a recession to occur after this happens.
