New Market will start their annual 4th of July celebration on Friday, July 3rd with a pie baking contest in the city park and Pitch & Cribbage Tournaments at the Community Center at 1pm followed by Potluck in the Park at 6pm.  On Sat., July 4 Breakfast will be served at the Community Center & races will start at 7:30am.  Some of the events during the day are ATV barrel racing, Kids Peddle Pull and water fight, parade will start at 1pm.  The Thunderbirds will play from 7 to 9pm and fireworks will begin at 9:50pm.

Description: 

The Shenandoah Annual 4th of July Baby Contest, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary will be on July 4th at the Shenandoah Old Armory.  Ages are Birth to 2 years old.  Registration will be between 8 and 8:30 am .  Judging will begin at 8:30 am.
