Grease 10x15x1 Jelly Roll pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

First Layer:

Mix until crumbly 1cup soft butter

                         1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

                         1/2 teaspoon salt

                         1 teaspoon vanilla

                         1/2 cup Quick Oats

                         2 1/2 cups All purpose flour

Press firmly in greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Second layer - 2 cups of mixed nuts or dry roasted peanuts.  Sprinkle nuts over the first layer.

Third layer - in saucepan combine

                       1/2 cup light Corn Syrup

                       1/2 cup packed Brown Sugar

                       2 Tablespoon Butter

                       1 Tablespoon Water

                       1 cup Butterscotch Chips

Heat until chips are melted. Pour over 2nd layer.  Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until bubbly.  Cool for 1 hour and then cut in small bars.
