(Sidney) -- Three Columbia, Missouri residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident along Highway 275 north of Sidney Thursday afternoon.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 59-year-old Leo Holden was headed north on 275 in a 2006 Pontiac G6 around 4:40 p.m. The patrol says for unknown reasons the car left the roadway to the right, causing Holden to overcorrect. The vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled once, coming to rest on its top.
Holden was taken by Tabor Rescue to Nebraska Medicine in Omaha with undisclosed injuries. Two passengers in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and were taken to Nebraska Medicine: 52-year-old Angelic Holden and 53-year-old Kimberly Overton. Angelic Holden was totally ejected from the car through the roof, according to the patrol.
The Fremont County Sheriff's Office, Tabor Rescue, Sidney Fire and Rescue, LifeNet 2/3 out of Clarinda, and multiple first responders all responded to the scene.
