(Stuart) -- A Michigan man was killed in a two vehicle accident near Stuart Monday.
The Iowa State Patrol says they were called to the accident scene on eastbound I-80 at the Stuart exit at around 9:00 a.m. A vehicle driven by 21-year-old Jeremiah Keller of Cadillac was westbound on I-80 when he drifted into the north shoulder. Keller over-corrected and slid into the median, crossing into the eastbound lanes of I-80 where it was hit on the passenger side by an eastbound semi driven by 60-year-old JD Khabir of Lavista, Nebraska. Both vehicles slid into the south ditch.
Keller was taken by the Steen Funeral Home to the State Medical Examiner's office. Khabir was mot injured in the crash.
