(Hastings) -- A Shenandoah woman was injured and a Glenwood man cited following a crash in Mills County Wednesday.

According to the Mills County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a crash around 6:45 p.m. near 350th Street and Highway 34, west of Hastings. Authorities say 48-year-old Maria Harger of Shenandoah was stopped at a stop sign on Highway 34 eastbound for a construction zone.

Deputies say a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Kyle O'Banion of Glenwood approached the Harger vehicle and was distracted by children in the back seat. O'Banion swerved at the last second, hitting the left-rear of Harger's vehicle.

Harger was taken by Malvern Rescue to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. O'Banion was issued citations for driving under suspension and failure to maintain a reasonable and proper speed.
