(Glenwood) -- A Carter Lake man faces a long list of charges following a weekend arrest in Mills County.

The Mills County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Jimmy Joe Gappa was arrested for possession of a controlled substance--delivery, drug offense with a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. Gappa is also charged with 4th degree theft and possession of contraband in a correctional facility.

Gappa was also apprehended on warrants out of Pottawattamie County for two counts of 3rd degree burglary, plus 2nd degree theft and 3rd degree criminal mischief. The arrest took place on Silver Avenue in Hastings shortly after 10:15 Saturday evening.

Gapp is being held in Mills County Jail on $37,000 bond for the Mills County charges, and $14,000 bond for the Pottawattamie County warrants.

Also arrested at that same location late Saturday night was 31-year-old Jack Ray Winchel of Glenwood for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked. He was also arrested on a Pottawattamie County warrant for driving while revoked. Winchel is in custody on $3,000 bond for Mills County charges, and $2,000 for the Pottawattamie County warrant.
