Pro Football Hall of Fame

(KMAland) -- Former Iowa star Alex Karras has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Karras, who won the 1957 Outland Trophy and was a two-time First-team All-American for the Hawkeyes in 1956 and 1957, went on to a Hall of Fame career with the Detroit Lions from 1958 to 1970.

Karras is joined in this year's class by Bill Cowher, Bobby Dillon, Jimmy Johnson and Donnie Shell.
