(KMAland) – High school football season in Iowa is down to its final week of the regular season.

KMA Sports will be on the air on Friday until the official playoff pairings are released by the Iowa High School Athletic Association, but we’ll let you know, unofficially, what the matchups are as the games finish up on Friday.

Below is a look at each area district and some scenarios for Week 9.

Class 2A District 8

-         The winner of the Kuemper/Clarinda game is the district champion.

-         Kuemper is the number two seed with a loss.

-         If Clarinda loses, the Cardinals are the number two seed with an OA-BCIG win over Greene County, the three seed if Greene County wins.

-         Shenandoah is the number four seed with a win.

-         Red Oak is the number four seed with a win and a Greene County win.  If Red Oak wins and OA-BCIG wins, it comes down to points between Red Oak (-13), OA-BCIG (-7) and Greene County (+12), with the top two getting in.

-         OA-BCIG is the number three seed with a win and a Shenandoah win.

Class 8-Man District 8

-         Southwest Valley (+55), Fremont-Mills (+54) and Sidney (+45) are all 5-1.  If all win on Friday, points (listed above) would determine the top three seeds.

-         A loss by any of the above three brings head-to-head into play to determine the district champion and runner-up.

-         CAM is the number three seed with a win over Sidney and wins by Southwest Valley & Fremont-Mills.  CAM can do no better than the number three seed, even if SWV or F-M loses to create a tie.

-         All four teams listed above have clinched playoff spots.

Class 8-Man District 7

-         EHK-Exira is the district champion.

-         Glidden-Ralston is the number two seed.

-         Coon Rapids-Bayard is the number three seed.

-         The winner of Friday’s Boyer Valley/West Harrison game is the number four seed.

Class 8-Man District 6

-         Adair-Casey is the district champion.

-         The winner of Friday’s Lamoni/Murray game is the number two seed.  The loser is the number three seed.

-         Grandview Park Baptist is the number four seed.

Class A District 8

-         AHST is the district champion.

-         East Mills is the number two seed with a win over West Monona on Friday.

-         Riverside is the number two seed with a win and an East Mills loss.  The Bulldogs are the number three seed with a win and an East Mills win.

-         The winner of the Griswold/Logan-Magnolia game is the number four seed, if Riverside beats Westwood and East Mills beats West Monona.  Logan-Magnolia could move up to the three seed with a win, a Riverside win and an East Mills loss.

-         If Westwood beats Riverside & Griswold beats Logan-Magnolia, then points determine the final two spots.  Griswold would be the number three seed and Riverside would be number four, unless Westwood beats Riverside by 13, then Westwood would be the four.

-         If Westwood beats Riverside & Logan-Magnolia beats Griswold, then Westwood is the number three seed and Riverside is the number four seed.

Class A District 7

-         Audubon is the district champion.

-         Madrid is the number two seed with a win over Guthrie Center.

-         Woodward-Granger is the number three seed with a win over Bedford on Friday and a Madrid win.

-         If Woodward-Granger wins and Guthrie Center beats Madrid, the two, three and four seeds would be decided by points.

-         Guthrie Center is the number two seed with a win and a Woodward-Granger loss.

Class 1A District 8

-         St. Albert is the district champion.

-         Panorama is the number two seed with a win over Treynor on Friday.

-         Nodaway Valley is the number two seed with a Treynor win over Panorama on Friday.  (Note, if Treynor wins, it would officially come down to points between Treynor, Nodaway Valley and Panorama for the final three spots, but there is no way the points can fall in other order than listed above.)

-         Treynor is the number four seed.

Class 1A District 7

-         Van Meter is the district champion.

-         Ogden is the number two seed

-         Mount Ayr is the number three seed with a win over Pella Christian on Friday.

-         If Des Moines Christian (-2) and/or Central Decatur (-14) win, it would be a points battle for the final two spots with Pella Christian (+11) and Mount Ayr (+17).

-         Mount Ayr is the number four seed with a loss and losses by Central Decatur and Des Moines Christian.

-         If Mount Ayr wins and Central Decatur and Des Moines Christian both lose, then the tie between CD, DMC and Pella Christian would come down to points for the final spot.

Class 1A District 2

-         St. Edmond is the district champion.

-         Ridge View is the number two seed.

-         Manson-NW Webster is the number three seed.

-         Sioux Central is the number four seed with a win over Maple Valley.

-         IKM-Manning is the number four seed with a win over Ridge View and a Sioux Central loss.

Class 3A District 1

-         Harlan is the district champion.

-         Lewis Central is the number two seed with a win.

-         Creston is the number two seed with a win and a Harlan win over ADM.

-         ADM is the number two seed with a win and a Creston win over Lewis Central.

-         Creston is in, and is the number three seed with a win and an ADM win.  They are the number four seed with a loss.

-         Lewis Central and ADM are in the playoffs with a win or a Glenwood loss.

-         Glenwood is the number four seed with a win and wins by ADM and Creston, Lewis Central would be out.

-         If Glenwood (-3) wins and Lewis Central (+12) and ADM (+7) both lose, points would determine the final two spots between those three.

Class 3A District 2

-         Sioux City Heelan is the district champion with a win over Spencer.

-         Spencer is the district champion with a win and a LeMars win over Carroll.

-         If Spencer (+39) and Carroll (+39) win, it would come down to points for the top three spots, with the above two and Heelan (+65)

-         LeMars is the number three seed with a win and a Spencer win.  If LeMars and Heelan win, LeMars can’t catch Carroll or Spencer in points and would be the number four seed.

Class 4A Division 4

-         Waukee is the district champion

-         The winner of the Abraham Lincoln/Southeast Polk game is the number two seed, the loser is third.

-         Sioux City West is the number four seed.
