(Treynor) -- KMA Sports continued to honor the best in KMAland sports history with one of the best coaches in the state's history on Friday evening.
Treynor girls basketball coach Gail Hartigan surpassed the 700 win total a week ago, and leads this year's KMAland No. 1 and Class 2A No. 2 team that has won all 20 of its games this season, all by double digits.
Hartigan has led Treynor to 13 state tournaments, and one state championship. She has coached 59 first team all-conference selections.
Several dozen of Hartigan's former players were in attendance to honor their coach during a ceremony between games of Treynor's basketball doubleheader Friday, and at a reception that followed the games at Treynor's High School Commons.
KMA Sports talked with Hartigan on Friday during the reception and she remembers some of her top teams, and what it means to have so many of her girls back.
