(Treynor) -- The KMA Sports Hall of Fame added another on Monday night.

Four-time state track champion Chaley Rath Hempel was officially inducted into the track wing of the Hall of Fame during a short ceremony at the Treynor girls track meet.

Rath Hempel - a 2013 Treynor graduate - won three state high jump championships during her career, still holds the Class 1A state meet record and added a 100 hurdles title in her senior season for good measure.

Rath Hempel, who went on to a terrific heptathlon and high jump career at the University of Northern Iowa, joins previous track inductees Tom Dovel (Red Oak), Terry Graham (Sidney), Sandra Hays Smith (Malvern) and Linda Rowe (Glenwood).
