(Lenox) -- One of the most iconic 8-Man teams in the history of KMALand received it's rightful place into the KMA Sports Hall of Fame on Friday night.
The 2008 Class 8-Man state champion Lenox Tigers were honored in a special ceremony during halftime of Lenox's game against East Union.
"It's an accomplishment that these kids made, they did something nobody thought could be done," former Lenox head football Allen Dukes
The 2008 Tigers finished a 13-1 campaign with a 34-32 victory over Armstrong-Ringsted in the state title game.
"They never quit, and did not allow anybody to dictate what the game was about, it was going to be about us," Dukes said.
The 2008 state title is the Tigers' lone football championship. The 2008 Tigers join the 2007 Stanton Vikings as football teams in the KMA Sports Hall of Fame wing.
