(Oakland) -- The 1998 state softball qualifier from Riverside was officially inducted into the KMA Sports Hall of Fame on Thursday night.
A total of 12 members from the team that got red hot in regional play, stunning multiple opponents on their way to an unexpected state tournament trip, were on hand for the induction prior to the Riverside/Treynor game.
The Bulldogs - coached by Gary Wax - beat Walnut, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Underwood and IKM to advance to the state tournament. Once in Fort Dodge, they dropped their opening game, won their first consolation and then had their fifth place game cancelled.
