(KMAland) -- Lexington stayed hot with their seventh straight win in a 2-2 day for Royals affiliates on Sunday.
Omaha/Triple A (31-33): Omaha dropped a 6-3 decision in 10 innings to El Paso on Sunday. Samir Duenez hit a three-run game-tying home run in the eighth, but the Chihuahuas answered with three of their own in the 10th. Foster Griffin struck out eight in five innings while Kyle Zimmer (1-3) took the loss.
Northwest Arkansas/Double A (28-34): Northwest Arkansas took a 10-2 defeat to Springfield on Sunday. Nick Heath led the way for the Naturals with two hits, a walk and his 37th stolen bases of the season. Ofreidy Gomez (3-4) struck out six in six innings and gave up three runs (two earned) to take the loss.
Wilmington/High A (40-22): Wilmington won for the sixth time in seven games, edging past Fayetteville 5-3 with a three-run eighth inning. MJ Melendez went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and a run scored. Sebastian Rivero drove in two of his own while C.J. Eldred (1-0) got the win with two shutout innings in relief. Robert Garcia nabbed his first save with two strikeouts in the ninth.
Lexington/Low A (33-29): Lexington won their seventh straight, taking a 7-5 win in 11 innings over Rome on Sunday. Nathan Eaton was 3-for-6 with two RBI while Jeison Guzman added two hits and Kyel Kasser drove in a pair. Austin Cox struck out five in six innings and gave up three runs in taking a no decision. Andres Nunez (2-1) struck out four in three innings to get the win.
