(KMAland) -- Ryan O’Hearn and Bubba Starling had big days the plate, Nick Heath stayed hot and Burle Dixon broke out in a 4-7 day for Royals affiliates.
Omaha/Triple A (38-48): Omaha blew an 8-1 lead and took a 9-8 10-inning loss to Round Rock. Ryan O’Hearn and Bubba Starling had two home runs each and combined to drive in all eight runs for the Storm Chasers. Yunior Marte gave up six runs in 1 2/3 innings, and Andres Machado (1-2) gave up the game-winning run in a bullpen blowup.
Northwest Arkansas/Double A (37-43): Northwest Arkansas used a five-run sixth to take a 7-5 win over Arkansas. Nick Heath stayed red hot with a triple among three hits while Taylor Featherston drove in two runs for the Naturals. J.C. Cloney struck out eight in five innings, but it was Andrew Beckwith (1-0) nabbing the win. Franco Terrero struck out four in 1.1 innings for his seventh save.
Wilmington/High A (51-32): Wilmington lost 10-4 and 2-1 to Potomac.
Game 1: Potomac won a resumed game from Tuesday, scoring the final 10 runs of the game and the only six on Wednesday. Cristian Perez and Sebastian Rivero recorded two-hit games, and Robert Garcia (1-2) gave up three runs on three hits in 2 2/3 innings to get the loss.
Game 2: Daniel Tillo (4-7) struck out five and gave up just two runs on three hits in six innings in getting saddled with the loss. Blake Perkins, Kyle Kasser and Offerman Collado were the only Blue Rocks to hit safely.
Lexington/Low A (41-42): The Legends lost a 10-6 decision to Asheville in a game that went just six and a half innings. Brhet Bewley and Chris Hudgins had two hits each while Hudgins and Rubendy Jaquez each drove in two runs. Tyler Gray (2-4) was the losing pitcher, giving up seven runs on six hits in 1 2/3 innings.
Burlington/Rookie (6-9): Burlington scored three in the eighth to beat Princeton 7-4. Burle Dixon led the offensive attack with two hits, including a home run, and drove in five runs. Maikel Garcia added two hits and two RBI. Zack Phillips (1-1) threw three relief innings and gave up one unearned run in getting the win, and Elliott Anderson threw the ninth and struck out two to get his first save.
Idaho Falls/Rookie (13-2): Idaho Falls blew a three-run lead, and Missoula scored three in the ninth to walk-off a 4-3 winner. Anthony Veneziano went 4 2/3 scoreless innings, and Jose Ramirez followed with three innings in giving up just one run. Juan Carlos Negret led the offense with three hits and an RBI.
AZL Royals (6-7): The Royals lost 6-5 to the Padres. Jimmy Govern singled, doubled and homered and drove in two runs to lead the offense.
DSL Royals1 (14-15): The Royals split with the Athletics, winning game one 5-2 and losing the second game 5-4. In game one, Guillermo Quintana drove in two runs, and Jose Ballista (1-0) threw two shutout innings of relief to get the win. Adrian Gonzalez nabbed the save. In game two, Omar Rodriguez and Xionel Garcia led the Royals with two hits each. Leandro Mendez (0-2) blew the save and took the loss.
DSL Royals2 (13-14): The Royals2 beat the Tigers2 club 7-3. Frank Herrera went 4-for-4 and Emmanuel Pire was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Olivber Moreno added two hits and two RBI in the win. Yordy Guaba (2-1) struck out six and allowed two unearned runs in three innings of relief.
