Iowa Hawkeyes

(KMAland) -- Check out the women’s college basketball action in the region from Wednesday, December 5th.

Tania Davis hit a 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds left to lift Iowa (6-2) over Iowa State (6-2) by a 73-70 final. Kathleen Doyle had 22 points for the Hawkeyes while Megan Gustafson had 13 points and 16 rebounds in the win. Bridget Carleton (21) and Alexa Middleton (20) combined for 41 points to lead the Cyclones.

Nebraska (3-5) got 11 points each from Taylor Kissinger and Hannah Whitish in a 58-52 defensive struggle of a win over Kansas (6-1), who suffered their first setback. Kylee Kopatich scored 14 points for the Jayhawks.

Creighton (3-4) beat Omaha (4-4) 66-51 behind 16 points, nine rebounds and seven assists from Audrey Faber. Rayanna Carter scored a game-high 18 points for the Mavericks.

Kansas State (6-2) pulled away from a four-point halftime lead for a 73-55 win over Lamar. Kayla Goth had 20 points and 10 assists, and Peyton Williams added 18 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Kali Jones chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks.
