(Maryville) -- A death investigation is underway in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 84-year-old Herbert Andrews of Maryville was found dead in a private pond of a friend's residence around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The patrol report indicates Andrews' death was not a drowning. Nodaway County Sheriff Randy Strong determined the death was the result of a heart attack sustained before falling into the water.
Andrews was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Price Funeral Home in Maryville. The death remains under investigation by the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office.
