(KMAland) -- A first team All-State member, a record-breaking tight end at the University of Nebraska and now a KMA Sports Hall of Famer.
Former Shenandoah star Todd Millikan is Tuesday's KMA Sports Hall of Fame inductee announcement.
"I would say the coaches that I had," Millikan said of what he remembers most of his time at Shenandoah. "The cohesiveness between the coaches. They were here for a long time. They supported each other."
Millikan would eventually be inducted into the Iowa High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame for his output at Shenandoah, and then go into the Nebraska football Hall of Fame for his terrific career with the Huskers.
Millikan was known as a dynamic playmaker at the tight end position, averaging 20.6 yards per catch for his career - a Nebraska record.
"A lot of it was Coach (Tom) Osborne's play-calling," Millikan said. "We'd run, run, run and then we'd have the quarterback fake the option and pull back. All I had to do was run up the field, get past the defensive backs and just make sure I caught the ball."
With this being the third Hall of Fame Millikan has been inducted into, he's starting to get used to the honor.
"It's awesome," Millikan said. "All of them are great honors, and I appreciate KMA recognizing me. KMA is in my hometown. I love Shenandoah, and I feel honored that KMA is doing this."
Millikan will be inducted into the KMA Sports Hall of Fame at a later date to be determined. You can hear the full interview with Millikan here.
A KMA Sports Hall of Fame announcement will be made on Upon Further Review at 11:50 AM each weekday until August 28th.
