Cary Cochran Hall of Fame

(KMAland) -- One of the state's greatest scorers officially entered the KMA Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday evening in Avoca.

Tri-Center legend Cary Cochran directed his team to multiple state tournaments and scored 2,650 career points during a tremendous career under his dad and coach Carl.

Cochran's point total and 252 career 3-point field goals rank second on the all-time list. His 706 assists rank 7th in state history.

Cochran would go on to a great career at Nebraska, setting single-game and single-season marks for 3-point field goals and scoring over 1,000 career points.

At the KMAland All-Star Classic on Sunday evening, Cochran was officially inducted into the KMA Sports Hall of Fame. Hear a full interview with the newest inductee below.
