(Clarinda) -- One of the great tennis players in state history was officially inducted into the KMA Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday night.
Kristin Kovar won a state tennis championship in 2003 - and to this day is still the only non-foreign exchange student from KMAland to win a girl's individual title.
Kovar was also a three-time state qualifier before going on to Central College, where she earned all-conference honors in all four years at the school.
The former Clarinda star was officially inducted into the KMA Sports Hall of Fame during a short ceremony between the Clarinda/Glenwood basketball doubleheader on Tuesday.
